Fashioning Faith has been a year now. And I'm very thankful to all of you who have been faithfully reading my blog... :)

Recently, a clothing compay based in the UK contacted me, regarding to the launch of their new clothing line. They also will be giving away their product for one of Fashioning Faith's lovely readers.

So, first of all, I'd like to introduce you this amazing clothing brand:




Vela Clothing is a new online shopping portal for long coats/abayas, party/special occasion sandals, scarves and handbags. At their website, they provide alternative views and innovative zoom technology that allows you to practically touch the products being viewed.

According to what they've told me, one of their objectives is to provide high quality clothing. The inspiration was came from the elegance of the women in Turkey. However, they felt that some of the long coats in Turkey would not be quite suitable for the UK so, as they said,

"... our line has been made with this in mind and we have tried to make it more of a fusion that can cross over to the west. The idea was conceived just over a year ago and after intensive market research and refining of our designs, we are finally ready to launch."

They added,

"We felt that the Muslimah in Britain were generally confined to the closed abaya which in our opinion in adverse weather can become very clingy and figure revealing thus not conforming to what Islam says. So we set out to provide an alternative that can be worn with the abaya and provides elegance, modesty, and professionalism."

They also said that they wanted to provide something that can be incorporated into working attire also as there are many Muslimah in the workplace.
