Hijab Tutorial: The Flowy Look

At least once a week, I spend a bit of time reading fashion blogs that I love. And then, from it, I usually came across some blogs that I've never seen before.

Today, I stumbled upon Irma's blog, Yes, I'm Irma. She's really got an eye for style. On her blog, she also share some hijab tutorials.

There are two tutorials that really caught my attention. She got these styles from the Hijab Class she took part held by Hijabers Community Jakarta.

I'm so glad she took her time to made these tutorials and share them on her blog. I really really fell in love with the 'natural' and the flowy look of these hijab styles, and I just can't wait to apply it to myself tomorrow! :)

Both styles also have a twist ala hana-tajima of stylecovered.. :)

To make these hijab-wrappings, you need:

• an inner, that cover your hair, neck, and upper bosom, or so-called ninja headdress.

• a shawl/pashmina; with flowy materials would be better. On the first tutorial, Irma used a reversible two-tones shawl.
• one brooch for the 1st style; and two pins/brooches for the 2nd style..

I just watched Amena's channel on youtube, and I want to share to you this another Summer Hijab Style from Amena. A lovely, secure style for when the weather is really hot!

I know that Summer always be a challenge for us as a hijabi. We need a comfort style againts hot weather. Especially for me who live in tropical country which the weather is always hot, I always look for comfort yet stylish Summer Hijab Styles... need more options on style and on choosing comfort materials for Summer Hijab.

I think I would definitely try this Summer style. No underscarf... hmmm... this surely will make us cooler... :)

Note: Please make sure you select an appropriate scarf before you go trying to poke slides through your favourite hijabs! And when you put in the slides, it also goes through the hair. But, if you don't want to use slides, you can use hijab pins as well.

A fresh new look from Hana of StyleCovered.

Finally, Hana do the tutorial about the hijab wrap she usually wear on her blog. I've been wondering for so long about how she wrap her hijab... :) This is the second time she did hijab wrap tutorial (you can watch her first tutorial here). It's super easy to do yet it looks chic and gorgeous. I definitely gonna try this style :)



I think this style also suitable for Summer season. You don't have to double-layered or even triple-layered the scarf around your head. You also can loosen up or adjust the pashmina wrap around your neck, to get more air-circulation without showing your neck.

For you who get bored of pinning your scarf at the bottom of your chin or pinning it behind your head, you can try this style. And this style also reduce the possibility of hijab pins snagging to your scarf.

I've tried it, and this has became one of  my favorite style to go outside... I like the big bun on my head (made from folding or rolling one of the pashmina endpoint into a bun behind your head), that made an impression such as you have a rolled long hair... and this, made my hijab wrap looks good.
